At 2BU, we believe every LGBTQ+ young person deserves to feel a sense of belonging, validation, and self-acceptance. We provide safe, supportive spaces where you can connect, grow in confidence, and feel empowered in your identity and mental health.
Through our peer mentor support, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with someone who understands what you’re going through and can:
- Talk to someone about your journey: Share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with someone who understands.
- Validate your experiences: Your identity and emotions are real, valid, and deserve to be recognised.
- Feel a sense of belonging: Connect with an accepting community that embraces and supports you.
- Embrace your identity: Explore who you are in a safe, non-judgmental space.
- Learn from lived experiences: Hear from LGBTQ+ peers who have been where you are and can offer insight and encouragement.
- Build confidence and self-worth: Recognise your strengths and celebrate who you are.
- Find hope for the future: Gain reassurance and support to navigate challenges and embrace opportunities ahead.
- Join in social & community activities: Engage in fun, safe, and meaningful experiences with others who get you.
We hope to help you feel seen, heard, and valued, while also providing opportunities to connect with positive social networks through community groups.
Funded by Children in Need, ensuring LGBTQ+ young people have the support they need to thrive in a safe and welcoming space. You are valid, you belong, and you don’t have to do this alone. #ItsOK2BU
