At 2BU, we focus on creating bespoke experiences inspired by each young person. Adopting a collaborate approach with young people and youth workers to design sessions that reflect individual interests and goals.

Our sessions often include practical activities like preparing meals, enhancing life skills, and providing tailored support. We also offer access to off-site activities. 

Identity and Resilience Workshops

Activities focused on understanding personal identity, building emotional resilience, and exploring what it means to be LGBTQ+ in today’s society.

Life Skills Development

Sessions aimed at building essential life skills such as time management, problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution, which are vital for navigating school, work, and personal life.

Peer-Led Support

Group sessions where LGBTQ+ young people can share experiences, provide support, and learn from one another, fostering a sense of community and reducing feelings of isolation.

Creative Expression Activities 

Offering artistic outlets like music, writing, drama, or visual arts to allow young people to explore and express their emotions in a constructive and therapeutic way.

Sexual Health and Relationships Education 

Providing accurate and inclusive information on sexual health, consent, safe relationships, and personal boundaries to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth feel informed and supported.

Group Projects and Team Building 

Collaborative projects and activities aimed at building teamwork skills, self-expression, and leadership abilities in a safe and encouraging environment.

Self-Advocacy and Rights 

Educating young people on their rights, how to advocate for themselves, and how to navigate challenging situations related to discrimination or mental health.

Social and Community Engagement 

Organising social activities like trips or community events that allow young people to build friendships and connect with others in a supportive, inclusive setting.

Transition Support for Mainstream Education 

Helping LGBTQ+ young people transition back to mainstream schooling, providing emotional support, liaising with schools, and ensuring their needs are met in a safe, inclusive environment.

These activities aim to equip LGBTQ+ young people with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to thrive both emotionally and academically, while providing a safe, affirming space for personal growth and development.
