Your Mental Health. Mind in Somerset’s Young Person Service and Young Minds recognise that it isn’t always easy to talk about our emotional and mental wellbeing. Check out their sites for information and the services they offer. Life Hacks were created by a group of young people who came up with a set of LifeHacks to help you and your friends to keep mentally healthy! Kooth offers a free online counselling and emotional well-being platform for children and young people, where you can talk to a trained counsellor using your mobile, tablet and desktop. Reading Well recommends expert endorsed books about mental health, providing 13 to 18 year olds with advice and information about issues like anxiety, stress and OCD, and difficult experiences like bullying and exams. Books have all been recommended by young people and health professionals, and are available to borrow for free from public libraries.
Self-Injury or Self-harm is difficult to talk about but it’s a common problem and you can beat it. Find out what self-harm means and what to do if you think you’re affected by it. Young Minds is a site that can help and Alumina is another good one.
Tellmi is an award winning free fully moderated app for young people, which provides peer support, expert help, inbuilt educational and creative resources as well as in app links to UK charities and helplines. Tellmi is a neutral space which allows young people to experiment with what it feels like to open up without drawing attention to themselves while positive feedback and social support builds confidence, increases wellbeing and promotes emotional resilience. Eating DisorderSWEDA actively reaches out to young people in Somerset to raise awareness of eating disorders and body image issues and offer resources and help to anyone affected by them.
Domestic Violence SIDAS Somerset Integrated Domestic Abuse Service is Somerset's main specialist service to provide support those including young people who are affected by domestic abuse.

Gender Identity Mindline Trans plus Mindline Trans+ is a confidential emotional, mental health support helpline and signposting service for people who identify as Trans, A Gender, Gender Fluid, Non-binary. They also operate a free phone line 0300 330 5468
