December 2022

On the 3rd of December 2022 we held our first ever 2BU Fundraiser. We were supported by Bros Architecture, Reach Youth, Go Create and Verve Health Group who kindly sponsored our event. Other local businesses provided raffle donations and decorations. We SOLD OUT of tickets and the venue hit maximum capacity of people allowed in at any given time. 
 

Our opening act, Molly Arscott told us she had first perfomed at CICCIC open mike night aged 14. Then followed Placeholder our headlining band who raised the roof and played lots of their own songs as well as a few covers. 

We had a dress up, photo area which was successful as families and friends were able to take selfies to remember the night with. The night came to a close with some of our very own 2BU young people performing songs (with their folks too) as well as lip sync performances. 

All performances were well received by the audience and feedback tells us that people are interested in a repeat of a similar event. Young people told us they had an amazing time but could they also have easier access to ear plugs! 

What a fab way to raise funds for 2BU, thank you to all the young people involved in making this happen as we all enjoyed the chance to unite as a community. Oh, and we raised £2503.35 WOW. Thank you to everyone who supported us to make this happen.
